Hello!
Bonjour! 你好 ¡Hola! नमस्ते Hallo!
I'm Kelly. (Nice to meet you!)
Have you ever looked at someone's "about" page and thought, well now, that doesn't really tell me *anything* about you. So let me tell you something more than where I went to school (Cornell - go Big Red!), how many kids I have (two almost-feral boys), and that I'm a corporate drop-out after having utterly burned out.
-
I'm a bullet point list kind of gal. But not always. Lists are just sooo wonderful, you know? Not for all of you. I get it....ish.
-
I'm an ENTJ (for you Myers Briggs fans) and am a personality assessment junkie.

-
I love, love traveling and learning languages. (My German and Spanish are rusty, my French can get me (most importantly) a glass of wine...and to the bathroom, hospital and Notre Dame.
-
Tied with traveling is my love of writing and books and reading. And good paper. There's something so delightful about fabulous paper!
-
I'm a math phobe. <sigh.> I wish it weren't true, especially since I'm married to a math fanatic who tries his damndest not to make me cry when we talk about simple math. (Wikipedia told me that researcher Ray Hembree says math anxiety is directly connected with math avoidance.) So, exposure therapy is the cure? Hahaha! F*** NO.
-
I love cleaning (why the hell do I love cleaning?!).
-
I have moderate-to-severe sensorineural hearing loss which is a total pain in the ass and often makes me tired but has oddly enough brought me closer to a crazy number of people - young and old - with whom I never thought I’d talk to, let alone compare pros and cons of hearing aids. And it keeps my ego in check.
-
I'm an avid exerciser and believe wholeheartedly in Dr. Peter Attia's "healthspan/lifespan" ideas in his book, Outlive, but I'll never have the time or patience to do everything he suggests. (Note: He has no idea who I am and I don't get money if you click the link. I just liked the book.)
That's (a little) of me. Tell me...who are you? Send me something wonderful.
One more thing:
No matter who you are,
No matter what color you are,
No matter where you're from,
I'm glad you're here.
This is a site of exploration, learning, and sharing. Egads!...I might sometimes get something WRONG. (I'll own up to it and fix it if I do!)
So be respectful to me, and to all human beings. You deserve it, and so do I.
